New Stupid Never Dies Trailer Showcases Gameplay

GPTRACK50’s debut game Stupid Never Dies resurfaces at the recent Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2026 showcase. While the reveal trailer sets the tone of this quirky action game, this new trailer, a short-but-sweet 2 minutes, gives a sampler of what to expect from the “Funky Zombie Action” gameplay.

Protagonist zombie Davy wants to save the human girl Julia found frozen in a shopping mall freezer so he can ask her on a date, and with the help of Dr. Frank, Davy goes to fight other monsters, absorbing their abilities.

Davy starts with the Zombie Style, but can swap to 10 other styles (11 styles in total) that changes the appearance and moveset. Davy gets to keep three styles at a time, and acquiring one means discarding another. On top of that, Davy also gets access to “over-technology-enhanced weapons and parts” equippable on various parts of the body.

The 11 different styles are:

  • Zombie Style: Basic Style for Davy
  • Werewolf Style: A speedy Style that lets you go on a wild rampage
  • Harpy Style: A flying Style that attacks distant enemies with projectiles
  • Golem Style: A tough and sturdy Style that sends packs of enemies flying
  • Vampire Style: A Style that lets you control a swarm of bats
  • Will-o’-the-Wisp Style: A Style that goes between the physical and astral planes
  • Cyclops Style: A Style that specializes in big, all-or-nothing attacks
  • Snow Fairy Style: A Style that freezes enemies and makes their power yours
  • Merfolk Style: A Style that dives into the ground like water to attack foes
  • Lich Style: A Style that uses the power of death to command skeletons
  • Demon Style: A Style that uses whips and gravity to control enemy position

All of the combat is fun and all (with a letter-graded style meter: it’s a character action game), but you’re also on the clock.

GPTRACK50 is one of the many new studios created by ex-developers initially under NetEase in the early 2020s. But similar to Nagoshi Studio (currently working on Gang Of Dragon), it seems that their debut games doesn’t seem to be have any involvement by NetEase, who usually serves as a publisher.

Stupid Never Dies has not locked a release date yet, but expected to arrive sometime this year on PS5 and PC (Steam).
