Stupid Never Dies Announced, Debut Game For GPTRACK50

In the opening act of the 2025 The Game Awards, GPTRACK50 revealed their debut game, Stupid Never Dies.

The trailer opens with a retro pop-punk music number (the 2000s was 20 years ago) featuring zombie Davy and human Julia singing Stupid Never Dies’ theme song.

It then transitions into a series of sick character action gameplay. Air launches, hit stuns, dashes, familiar movesets from what you’d see in a Devil May Cry game, essentially. Davy also can summon monsters to join the fight.

As announced during The Game Awards 2025, this team based in Osaka, Japan, the same city Capcom is based in. As a matter of fact, GPTRACK50 indeed are made up of ex-Capcom devs including Hiroyuki Kobayashi who was the producer behind games including the first four Devil May Cry games, Resident Evil 4 and 6, as well as Dragon’s Dogma.

So it all makes sense why Stupid Never Dies has that sense of character action gameplay, though the developer is calling their take on action RPG as “Blazing Fast Growth” Action RPG.

Stupid Never Dies is set to release in 2026 for the PS5 and PC (Steam)
