To be honest, I see this as Dark Souls meet Anime, or I’m just the only one think this way. Anyone else?
To be honest, from my point of view, this game pretty similar to our D-Famous game of all time – Clash Royal but with added mix and sci-fi backstory. The game concept looks similar but in term of how the strategy works, it’s totally different. First of all, this game is made by our own Malaysian kin with Aeonsparx (well known for whom starting to enter the Android and mobile game industry). Hexlords has been under production for more than a year, I believe it’s still in alpha phase plus, the game will keep on improving even further. Hopefully, manage to beat the D-Overrated Clash Royal.
In case you guys wondering and love to read the backstory of, [...]
Games can now come many ranges of difficulty, but what if some of them appears simpler than it may seem? That’s what indie developed Rhythm Doctor is doing. On paper it sounds like the simplest rhythm game ever, but it has more tricks at its sleeve.
Found at MDEC’s booth in Comic Fiesta 2017, it’s hard to miss this one as it is being played on a large screen usually with a large crowd huddling in front of it. The premise is simple, hit the triggers at each of the 7th beat in the music. But as you progress the whole thing seems off.
The game is not bugged, but it intentionally glitches out from time to time. Sometimes it obscures the visual hints. [...]
iflix, the Malaysia-based startup to rival Netflix with on-demand TV and film content, is now offering livestreams as well. Esports livestreams, in particular.
The Galaxy Battles 2018 Qualifiers can be livestream straight from the app, as we discovered at the one of their booths at Comic Fiesta 2017. Galaxy Battles 2018 is organised by Fallout Gaming, which also sponsored the gaming area at Comic Fiesta this year.
(They also made headlines thanks to a series of mismanagement issues with the Red Bull Coliseum event.)
The Galaxy Battles 2018 Qualifiers has begun! Which team are you rooting for? Watch the live stream now, on #iflix. #LetsPlay [...]
Eidos Montreal, the team that successfully brought Deus Ex back in modern times, will now focus on online gaming. As found in its new vision statement, the team are “placing an added emphasis on the online experiences in our games, striving to continually provide players with content that is memorable and impactful.”
The studio’s pedigree is mostly on single-player games. But the team has dabbled with online games-as-a-service in the Deus Ex: Mankind Dividied’s Breach mode, which is now available as a free standalone game. Deus Ex is still in hiatus (but not abandoned), which means that their next projects, which includes games using the Marvel licence, [...]

The first big content update for Need For Speed Payback is coming. In case you missed it, EA has quietly put back a season pass for Payback. NFS 2015 did not have any, and most recent games from the publisher has abandoned that model. The first DLC coming with this is Speedcross.
Speedcross adds two new vehicles, the Mini John Cooper Works Countryman and the Infiniti Q60 S into the mix and a whole new car class called Speedcross.
Essentially, it’s an unlicscensed Rallycross, a racing discipline that mixes off-road rallying and tarmac racing in small, tight tracks. 16 new events and a new boss, Barracuda is ready for you should you own the season pass. It will [...]
Here comes a new challenger. Astro partnered up with Humao, China’s biggest esports livestream platform to launch Tamago, a new mobile livestream app targeting Southeast Asia.
Tamago has the features of what a mobile livestream platform should be- live chat and a tipping system to reward content creators (“virtual gifts, that can be purchased through in app purchases”). It has been soft launched so far, racking up 15,000 users in two months.
The selling point right now is that it is under Astro, so expect their content to be available there. Their gaming channel eGG Network’s exclusive programmes like reality show [...]

The original Company Of Heroes was highly regarded, the sequel focuses on the Eastern front for its campaign. The big difference of the series compared to other RTS is it is smaller scale, focusing on tactics. There is a cover system with destructible environments.

Take-Two is one of the big publishers in the game industry which name does not crop up in the mainstream. But they are behind 2K, the publishers of yearly sports games, Bioshock and Firaxis’ strategy games as well as Rockstar Games, the brand behind GTA and Red Dead Redemption. Now there is another label being introduced for smaller indie development games, Private Division.
As reported by Game Informer, four new games have been signed by this new label from teams with strong developer backgrounds from the AAA space. Expect these games to be “indie-AAA” as pioneered by Ninja Theory with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Kerbal Space Program by Squad, which [...]
