Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster On PC, Mobile Updated With New Features

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games on PC (Steam), iOS and Android has been updated today with new features.

The Pixel Remaster editions of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI on PC and mobile now have two specific features that was added on the console (PS4, Switch) releases which are:

  • Random Encounter toggle (off)
  • Experience Gain adjustments

The PC version can also switch between the original soundtrack for the games and the rearranged versions introduced with the Pixel Remaster release.

On mobile, all six games now has gamepad (controller) support if you prefer not to use touch controls.

For context, the FF Pixel Remaster games were released on PC and mobile first, and only had the console releases later which included new features. So this update should bring some parity to all the versions.

In addition, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games are all 20% off. These games can be purchased individually or as a 6-in-1 bundle (not available for Android).

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series is the best way to experience the older, pre-PS1 Final Fantasy games all in its pixelated glory. And so far, it has been selling relatively well.

Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remasters are available now on PS4, PC (Steam), Switch, iOS and Android.

Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV also have a 3D remake, first released on Nintendo DS and now available on PC and mobile.
