Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series Sales Pass Three Million Units

Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series has sold three million units, physically and digitally, worldwide.

The sales count includes not only the recent release on PlayStation and Switch platforms, but also the previous release on mobile (iOS, Android) and PC (Steam).

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster are remastered releases of the first six Final Fantasy games: Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI.

These remasters retain the pixel art look, but updated with new sprites, new music arrangement plus a bunch of quality-of-life changes to make it playable in the modern age.

Select games from the first six Final Fantasy series did get 3D remakes, like Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV. But for those looking to experience the original RPGs that continue to see new entries today, the latest being Final Fantasy XVI, closer to its original form, the Pixel Remaster series is the way to go.

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series of games are available on PS4, PC (Steam), Switch, iOS and Android either as ala carte purchase or a six-in-one bundle.
