Destiny 2 Expansions, Including Beyond Light, Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass

Destiny 2 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass, as revealed at the recent Xbox Game Showcase. However, Destiny 2 is already a free-to-play game.

What this actually means is that the two currently available expansions, Forsaken and Shadowkeep, will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in September. The upcoming Beyond Light expansion is also included, coming later in November.

This will give players on Xbox access to all content related to the expansions including new subclasses, exotic weapons and gear tied to the expansions and also activities tied to the expansions. So long as said activity are not vaulted yet.

Players still need to buy the Season Passes for seasonal content, which are not included in Xbox Game Pass.

Note that there is no specific mention of PC, or Windows 10 PC here. Destiny 2 on PC is only on Steam for now, so most likely it’s only available on Xbox One and later on Xbox Series X.

However, should you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which will include Project xCloud, you can stream Destiny 2 from mobile devices too.

For those not wanting to buy the yearly expansions, and already have Xbox Game Pass, this is a great deal. More details can be found here.

Destiny 2 will also be getting an enhancement for Xbox Series X, running at 4K 60fps, and supports cross-play with Xbox One players.
