Total War Warhammer III is unsurprisingly getting more DLC, but surprisingly this latest one is its biggest yet since the launch of the original Total War Warhammer 10 years ago.
Total War Warhammer III Lord Of The End Times will be adding not one, not two, not three but four Legendary Lords (playable heroes with unique playstyles) available for the Immortal Engines campaign.
And if you yet to own Total War Warhammer III, Lord Of The End Times bundle DLC will give you access to the base game’s Immortal Engines campaign, so it’s a great new jumping point if you want to get your toes into developer Creative Assembly’s long-running large-scale RTS series.
As the name implies, the new content is themed around the End Times setting in Warhammer Fantasy, where the world is about to end. The four Legendary Lords in this DLC bundle all hail from different races, including a brand-new one debuting.
The much-anticipated Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead, is the first of the Undead Lords to appear as the inventor of necromancy is set to drain the life forces of the world, build a legion of undead warriors and ascend to godhood as the world is left to ruin by this. Nagash is a spellcaster and can raise army units from other Undead factions, including Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts and Vampire Coast units.
Thanquol is the person you hear narrating the new trailer. The Grey Seer represents the Skaven, the first new Legendary Lord of this persuasion since Total War Warhammer II. Thanquol can raise secret armies to do stealth attacks, or conduct rituals, or even just steal something. Thanquol is also a spellcaster with an unlockable Rat-Ogre mount, with an army roster made out of Skaven units.
Boris Todbringer, Elector Count of Middenland, represents the Empire. The melee combatant is spurred by defeating enemies of the Empire which enables him to develop the Great Temple Of Ulric. Boris can make use of Sanctuaries to provide permanent buffs to his faction. Boris recruits from the Empire roster, including new Middenland and Empire-themed units.
Lastly, for the fans of Chaos, is The Glotkin. The Befouled Brothers marked by Nurgle (the Chaos god that does the stinky farts and decay bit) will be spreading the Gifts Of Nurgle (read: the plague) across the land.
The Glotkin are technically three different entities that operate as one. They have access to recruit from the Warriors of Chaos and of course, Nurgle Daemon rosters, in particular the more resilient ones.
