Get ready for the next battle this October. Bandai Namco has announced that Tekken 8 is getting a Closed Beta Test next month.
This Closed Beta Test, not to be confused with the Closed Network Test held previously, will take place on October 20-23 for PS5, Steam and Xbox Series X|S. No early access, every platform gets in at the same time this time.
Registration for the Closed Beta Test is currently live until October 11. You can register here.
The Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test is offering more content for eager testers to try out. This includes the Tekken Fight Lounge, Tekken 8’s take on the emerging “immersive online lobby” experience that has been trending in recent fighting game releases. Create a cartoony avatar, hang out, chat or do emotes with other players, and set up matchmaking.
The Closed Beta also includes access to the following features, available via Tekken Fight Lounge:
- Battle Arena
- Customisation Shop
- Tekken Dojo
- Beach Area
Also, Tekken Ball will make a return, and is playable in the beta.
As for the real meat and potatoes, the Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test will offer 19 playable characters, three more from the previous test. The three new additions are the previously revealed Raven and Azucena, plus Feng, which just got revealed alongside this announcement.
