Frostpunk 2 Shows Its First Gameplay Trailer, Coming To Game Pass Day-1 Of Release

Frostpunk 2, the sequel to the phenomenal narrative-driven survival city builder, gets its first gameplay trailer.

The game about ensuring a city surviving an everlasting winter dials up the harrowness as the whole trailer you will be hearing the voices of the people asking for you, the Steward, to do something about the city.

The two-minute trailer does show in-engine gameplay, with the watermark indicating the game was running on high-end specs (AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro CPU, AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics).

But the scale of the city, where its center lies the ever-important power generator, has gone significantly up.

And there’s more dilemmas needed addressing too. From overpopulation to resentment over experimental treatment. Any decision you make will likely cause some members of the community to be angry. In such dire times, can you even make everyone happy?

And to ramp up the stakes, portraits of a citizen with their name, age, occupation and flavour text will really, really make you think twice about rationing food despite it being the only way to ensure survival.

Frostpunk 2 has no firm release date yet, but the new trailer confirms that it will be coming to Game Pass. When the game launches in “the first half of 2024” (so sometime before the end of June), the game will also be available on PC Game Pass on launch.

Frostpunk 2 will also be released on Xbox Series X|S (which also be available on Xbox Game Pass). It will also launch later on PS5 as well.
