Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is out now. This is the Switch 2 port of FromSoftware’s much-acclaimed open world action RPG that we feel odd calling a soulslike (because they made those Souls games soulslikes are inspired by). The base game also sold over 30 million units.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition includes the base game, the Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion, plus new content that are sold as DLC on PlayStation, PC and Xbox as the Tarnished Pack DLC.
The new Tarnished Pack DLC, included in Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, are the following:
- Two new classes (with new equipment, also avaialable for purchase from merchants and found in the world)
- Idus Knight
- Heavy Knight
- More weapons that can be purchased from merchants or found in the world
- Three Spectral Steed Attire (cosmetic for the horse, Torrent)
- Tree Sentinel Spectral Steed Attire: Found in Stormveil Castle
- Silver of Caria Spectral Steed Attire: Found in Liurnia of the Lakes
- Funereal Night Spectral Steed Attire: Found in Altus Plateau
- NPC invastion event in Caelid
- NPC invasion event in Leyndell, Royal Capital (before the transition, will not occur when it becomes Leyndell, Ashen Capital)
The Tarnished Pack DLC costs RM25 in Malaysia on PlayStation Store and Steam. A bit much for such few content, especially when you compare the bang-for-buck to the ridiculously lavish expansion, but if you’re looking to start a fresh new playthrough and want to pledge to FromSoft so that they make more of games like Elden Ring, it’s probably worthwhile.
Currently, FromSoftware is developing a PVPVE game The Duskbloods, exclusive to Switch 2.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is out now on Nintendo Switch 2. Elden Ring Tarnished Pack DLC is out now for PS4, PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S.
