World Of Tanks Metal Fest Closing Act Sees Iron Maiden Taking Stage

Up the irons. After opening the Metal Fest with Sabaton, and then having Megadeth appearing as a second act, what has Wargaming has in store to close out this multi-game music event? Bloody Iron Maiden.

From September 12 to October 3, Iron Maiden’s iconic figurehead Eddie makes an appearance in World Of Tanks Modern Armor. Eddie is available as a 3D Hero Commander.

Two new Iron Maiden-themed tanks are also added. The Senjutsu TO-55 flamethrower tank (Tier VIII Medium tank) and the tank simply named AMOLAD (A Matter Of Life And Death) (Escalation Era Medium tank). The former is inspired by Iron Maiden’s latest album Senjutsu, while the latter is not only based on their 2006 album A Matter Of Life And Death, but its appearance is based on the tank featured on the album cover.

There’s also 14 Eddie 2D Standard Commanders to collect. And as for songs, there’s two: Brighter Than a Thousand Suns (from A Matter Of Life And Death) and The Writing on the Wall, the latest single from Senjutsu can be heard in the garage if you own any of the two Iron Maiden tanks.

It’s a shame the collab is only limited to one game, as the previous Megadeth version appeared across more titles under Wargaming.

World Of Tanks Modern Armor is free-to-play and available now on PS3, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
