The Division Heartland Cancelled

The Division Heartland, the free-to-play The Division game has been cancelled, according to Ubisoft’s financial year 2024 earnings report.

“In line with the increased selectivity of investments, Ubisoft has decided to stop development of The Division Heartland and has redeployed resources to bigger opportunities such as XDefiant and Rainbow Six,” the report reads.

The Division Heartland was announced back in 2021 as a free-to-play game developed by long-time Tom Clancy game developer Red Storm Studios. But news on the game has gone quiet for a long time. The mobile game announced alongside it, The Division Resurgence, is set to release soon.

Ubisoft previously announced The Division 3 is in the works under Massive Entertainment, the devs behind the first two mainline games. Currently, Massive looks to be set to release their next game Star Wars Outlaws this August.
