Bandai Namco has revealed the release date for the upcoming “hack-and-slash looter” game Gundam Breaker 4.
Developed by Crafts & Meister Co., Gundam Breaker 4 lets you customise your own Gundam based on actual model kits by combining various parts together. It’s a Gunpla kitbasher’s dream video game. And there’s a diorama mode too.
At launch, more than 250 model kits will be featured in Gundam Breaker 4. This includes Gunplas from the latest Gundam anime, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury as well as SD Gundam kits. And yes, you can kitbash SD Gundam parts on regular-sized Gundams.
Gameplay-wise, expect fighting other customised Gundams solo or with up to two friends in three-player co-op multiplayer matches.
The last Gundam Breaker game, New Gundam Breaker, was not as well received. And Gundam Breaker 4 is supposedly the entry which the series will go back to its roots.
Gundam Breaker 4 releases on August 29 on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam) and Switch.
