Where can gaming chairs go after Acer put in a back massager? Razer has found another innovation to put into its first gaming chair offering: the Razer Iskur.
Revealed at RazerCon 2020, the Razer Iskur brings an ergonomic feature that will help makes your back feel better: an adjustable lumbar support system.
Lumbar support holds your spine- specifically the lower back-in shape while sitting down- essentially it stops you from slouching which is bad your back. The Iskar’s external lumbar support can rotate out up to 26 degrees and helps hold your spine in proper posture during long gaming sessions. And it’s not a cushy pillow that will eventually let you slouch.
The Razer Iskar is also made out of multi-layered synthetic leather- which should make it withstand from peeling over longer use, high-density foam cushions that can over time mould and match your body shape, a memory foam head cushion, and a “4D” armrest that can move up and down, forward and backwards, right and left, and rotate inward or outward of the chair.
Razer recommends the Iskar for gamers of 5′ 6″-6′ 2″ (1.7-1.9m) tall and under 299lbs (136kg).
Pre-orders for the Razer Iskur are now open for the price of $499 USD (roughly RM2,065). Yes, it’s not cheap, but still, it’s cool to see that gaming chairs can be more than just branded racing seats strapped on an office chair form factor.
