Fancy running your own trading card game card shop, expressed through first-person simulation mechanics? Sensational “simslop” TCG Card Shop Simulator will be leaving Early Access and launching into version 1.0. This also coincides with the release of TCG Card Shop Simulator on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Coming to version 1.0 is an entirely playable version of Tetramon. This is the fictional TCG that you’re selling and the customers are playing in TCG Card Shop Simulator. And now you to can play an actual deckbuilder within the game.
The announcement comes with a new trailer featuring some gameplay as well as a very Saturday morning cartoon animation that’s completely legally distinct from that other popular monster-based IP.
TCG Card Shop Simulator will also add Tournament Mode where you can host competitions with a whole set of customisations, which of course will include pricing strategies.
Developed by Malaysian indie devs O.P. Neon Games, a one-person operation by Ding Shen Sia, TCG Card Shop Simulator released in Early Access in 2014 and has since sold over 3.5 million copies.
Simply judging by its graphics and gameplay mechanics, one would assume it’s one of those first-person “simulator” games where it supposed to be a simulation of sorts so much that it has to put “simulator” in the title but doesn’t really hold to the high standards of say, a Microsoft Flight Simulator or a Farming Simulator.
However, you can crack those TCG cards you’re supposed to sell yourself, and get to experience the sensation of cracking up made-up cards (which later down the line are turned into a playable TCG) to find gems without renting an excavator, hiring a geologist and do a livestream in the middle of Nevada, USA. Not many other games can offer that high without spending real money.
TCG Card Shop Simulator releases on September 15 for the PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
