Lenovo has updated its Legion gaming laptop line and is now available in Malaysia. The mullet-style laptop line- or as their tagline goes “stylish on the outside, savage on the inside”, are now packed with a 9th-gen Intel Core CPU and an Nvidia GTX 16-series or an RTX GPU, as was revealed at CES.
Lenovo Malaysia debuted the new Legion Y540 at a launch event that’s also a LAN Party for participating media members, where the Y540s are used in a 3v3 Dota tournament.
The Y540 should look similar to the Y530 debuted last year, which overhauled the whole exterior design immensely to look more like a business laptop. The compact body is 25.9mm thin and weighing at 2.3kg. It has dual fans as its thermal solution and Harman Kardon speakers.
Pricing starts at RM3,699- though we haven’t found any listings with that price just yet.
Over on the official Lenovo site, you can get the 15.6″ Lenovo Legion Y540 starting at RM4,409. There’s a range of selections to choose- both Core i5 and i7 CPUs are available, 7200rpm HDDs and SSDs, RAM up to 32GB and also a GTX 1660Ti if you don’t prefer RTX.
As for official variants, here is one as is listed on the Lenovo site:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-9750H Processor
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX2060 6GB GDDR6
- RAM: 8GB
