The Acer Predator Helios 300, the pretty good mid-range gaming laptop, gets a refresh for this year, ditching the red colour scheme entirely (that’s now reserved for Acer’s more affordable Nitro line). And now it is available in Malaysia.
The 15.6″ gaming laptop is now equipped with 9th-gen Intel Core CPUs and the new Nvidia GeForce RTX GPUs. It’s also slimmer- 22.9mm thin, 3.8mm thinner than the bulkier model last year, has a 144Hz refresh rate display, RGB lighting with 4 zones of custome colours and Acer’s 4th-gen Aeroblade cooling fan.

Our review of last year’s Predator Helios 300 calls it “as stylish and exciting as its bigger, more expensive brethren”. But we shall see if the 2019 refresh does justice to the Helios 300 banner.
If you need a gaming laptop with an RTX card, but slightly more reasonable price, the i5 variant looks pretty promising.
