Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile, a free-to-play FPS coming to iOS and Android.
While it’s simply titled Rainbow Six Mobile, the game will be based on Rainbow Six Siege, so expect a 5v5 multiplayer tactical shooter set in tight maps. The core game mode, Attack VS Defense is here where attackers can send drones and tactically breach through walls while defenders can barricade entry point and place spy camera or traps.
Expect maps from Rainbow Six Siege like Bank and Border to make the transition to Rainbow Six Mobile. As well as the operators, each with their own skillset, weapons and gadgets.
Other PvP modes confirmed so far are Secure Area and Bomb.

Rainbow Six Mobile is being developed by a dedicated team at Ubisoft Montreal, with support roles from other Ubisoft studios including Winnipeg, Halifax, Paris, Quebec, Bucharest, Kyiv, Pune, RedLynx, Chengdu and Shanghai.
Players can sign up for upcoming tests at the game’s site here.
Free-to-play mobile games have a huge audience, especially around here in Southeast Asia. Call Of Duty has a mobile version via Tencent and Garena. EA just released Apex Legends Mobile in the region. And this is all following the success of the likes of PUBG, Free Fire and many other shooter titles playable on mobile devices. So it’s no surprise that Ubisoft is following suit.
