Kaido Genkai, the indie open world racing RPG by primarily a one-person team inspired by games such as Auto Modellista and Road Trip Adventure, now has a demo available for the public.
Previously exclusive to Patreon supporters, the demo is now on Steam, providing 2-3 hours of playtime and a sample of what to expect from this old-school yet refreshing take on a racing game. Explore the Japanese countryside, taste the RPG progression, experience dynamic day-and-night cycle and drive 19 vehicles in the Kaido Genkai demo.
As covered previously, developer Karoshi Electric Company is making Kaido Genkai as an antithesis to the current crop of “festival racers” i.e. the likes of Forza Horizon 6, The Crew Motorfest and to a certain extent, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown as well as the established racing sim titles.
Kaido Genkai’s demo is now available here. You can help fund the game through Kickstarter.
