NetEase Games announced that its latest free-to-play mobile racing game, Racing Master, is out now in Southeast Asia.
Racing Master, announced back in 2021, is a fascinating title in that it was developed in collaboration with Codemasters. The game uses Codemasters’ physics engine but powered overall by Unreal Engine 4.
Racing Master is a more grounded, racing sim-ish take on racing games. Less like Asphalt, but closer (though not quite the same as) Real Racing 3. With 100+ licensed cars from real car manufacturers including Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Koenigsegg and Ford as well as real tracks like Shanghai International Circuit and the great circle in Indy (no, not that one), Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Racing Master also features “full-body customisation” for its cars, which includes paint jobs, decals, tires, rims, suspensions, and brakes. These can be customised and shared.
And for those on higher-end mobile devices (or emulating the game via PC), Racing Master also supports Dolby Atmos audio and haptic feedback.
The game has launched in Mainland China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, garnering over 50 million players. And now it’s Southeast Asia’s time to get in on this free-to-play mobile racing game. Took them awhile to get here.
Racing Master is now available on iOS, Android and via an official emulator for PC in Southeast Asia.
