The rumours are true, Tifa from Final Fantasy VII is a guest character for a fighting game, just not the one people were heavily expecting it to be. At Summer Game Fest 2026, Capcom announced Year 4 of Street Fighter 6 with four more DLC characters.
Together with the headlining pugilist are three new world warriors, one of which fans of World Tour mode are already familiar with. The reveal trailer is fully animated. There is no in-game footage of these characters yet, as expected (those will be revealed closer to the launch of each character).

In release order, we have Yasmine. The high schooler from the Philippines (look at her Outfit 1 fit, she proudly flies her country’s flag) is usually shy and gentle, until she wields her karambit knife. Yasmine is expected to drop this summer, specifically on August 3.

Next will be Arjun. Hailing from India, he’s another yoga practitioner similar to Dhalsim, though his ridiculous lung capacity is used for his unique Bare-knuckle Yoga. Arjun used to be a cop, but currently on the run after being falsely accused for the murder of a colleague, and is looking for the true culprit. Arjun is expected to drop in Autumn 2026 (September-November).

And here comes Tifa. The Avalanche resistance fighter and Final Fantasy VII’s resident pugilist fights with Zangan-ryu martial arts. She is somehow “transported to another world.” Isekai is canon in Street Fighter, apparently. Tifa can use unique powers called Abilities, likely her Abilities as seen in Final Fantasy VII (specifically the remake rendition). This is Tifa’s second appearance in a fighting game since Ehrgeiz: God Bless The Ring, all the way back in 1998. Tifa is expected to arrive in Early 2027.

Finally, the rounding the quartet of SF6 Year 4 DLC characters is Bosch. Hailing from the fictional nation of Nayshall, he’s your buddy-turned-rival-turned-buddy in World Tour Mode. He trained with Luke when he arrived in Metro City, and now he incorporates more modern fighting techniques with the ancient tech of Nayshall’s warrior faith. Bosch is expected to drop in Spring 2027 (March-May).
Previously, all DLC characters for Street Fighter 6 have an appearance in World Tour mode. They act as mentors, literally Masters, where your custom character can learn moves, and more importantly, interact with.
With the cast of Year 4 characters being on the younger side, with one being your training partner and another from an entire different world altogether, it’s made more clear why that in a social post, Capcom made note that after the release of Year 3’s final character Ingrid, there won’t be “additional World Tour story content upon release.” New World Tour mode content cannot follow the same format with these world warriors, and one other world warrior, though hopefully they do appear in the single-player mode in some way.
With this announcement, the Street Fighter 4 Year 4 Character Pass is now available for purchase, which includes:
- all four Year 4 characters
- Outfit 1 Colours 3-10 for each character
- 3,000 Drive Tickets
The Ultimate Pass version includes all the Character Pass content plus:

- Outfit 3 + Colours 1-10
- additional 2,800 Drive Tickets
