What do you bring to fight in tight spaces? Friends, apparently, so you too can fight in the same tight spaces.
Developers Ground Shatter, the indie-yet-again developers behind the deckbuilding tactical game about decking the opposition through fights in tight spaces, obviously called Fights In Tight Spaces, has surprised released its sequel during the 2026 PC Gaming Show’s Summer Of Games showcase.
The sequel is now in Steam Early Access, and yes, that is the title. 2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces.
One of the rare video games to actually make use of The Fast & The Furious’ silly yet iconic naming convention for a sequel unironically as a proper title, 2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces is the developer’s first self published title under the Tight Spaces series. A series that includes the previously mentioned Fights In Tight Spaces and also Knights In Tight Spaces. Hopefully none of 13 members of the team are claustrophobic.
Ground Shatter started out indie, was acquired by Reforged Studios in 2024, but has since gone indie again recently. 2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces is its the developer’s first self-published Tight Spaces game.
2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces evolves the deckbuilding turn-based tactical game (think Marvel’s Midnight Suns, but it’s mostly hand-to-hand combat in a small scale room, a tight space if you will) by adding in online co-op play as a squad of up to 3 players to go beat up people in rather small rooms. This is a PvE experience, purely co-op.
This “true sequel” also still supports single-player, of course. For those who crave the “one-man army” feel of the original, 2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces has even more ways to fight (in tight spaces.) New polymorphic cards that can transform, a dynamic weapons system which includes the ability to disarm and take weapons from enemies, and interactive environments are some of the new additions to the sequel.
If you yearn for the violence seen in Volition’s The Punisher game, specifically the kind that involves shoving someone’s head into occupational hazards, 2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces has you covered—the trailer showed that you can push someone’s head into the deep end of a deep fryer. It won’t be as gruesome, but there is a new visual style in 2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces that makes it pop a bit more than its predecessor.

2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces has already laid a roadmap of what to expect from the Early Access release as it makes its way to version 1.0.
More enemy factions, more environments, daily leaderboard and Endless Mode are all coming as the developers take on player feedback to shape 2 Fight 2 Tight Spaces into its final form, probably something that can fit in a snug, tightness-wise. Plans in the roadmap may change, but it’s nice to see that there is a plan laid out.
2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces is out now on PC (Steam) in Early Access.
