Concord, the upcoming multiplayer shooter by Firewalk and PlayStation Studios, will have its Beta Early Access go live this weekend starting July 12. And it’s now not limited to just the people who pre-ordered the paid game or have a code from a friend that did.
The Beta Early Access is also open to all players who have an active PS Plus subscription.
The Open Beta for Concord begins on July 18, so if any PS Plus member curious to try the game out a week early but didn’t pre-order it (understandably so), you are now eligible to access the Beta Early Access.
Concord Early Access Beta will include a rotation of 4 maps, 3 modes and access to all 16 playable characters.
The Open Beta will add an additional map and mode for a total of 5 maps and 4 modes.
Little was revealed about Concord up to its first gameplay showcased on the May 2024 State Of Play. From the looks of it, it has elements of Destiny PVP, the character-driven hero-shooter vibes of Overwatch and the sci-fi aesthetic the riffs on Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy.
Fascinatingly, Concord is a paid game and is strictly a multiplayer shooter, a rare thing to see these days especially one based on a new IP.
Concord releases on August 23 on PS5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store).
