For those keep track of the monthly free content updates developer Polyphony Digital usually doles out for Gran Turismo 7, you’d notice already there was none for July 2026.
Good news is, the one that will be releasing in August 2026 is coming out next week.
Series producer Kazunori Yamauchi, as always, posted a teaser render of the upcoming new cars to be added in the racing game, four of them, under a drape. The post hinted at “some pretty niche cars included” in the selection here.
Considering Gran Turismo has added niche cars including an old Unimog, a Twingo, an ambulance and an EV that was cancelled close to production that the video game equivalent got added to the game, making it the only platform you can drive said car in any form, this is par for the course. The game hasn’t added a Fiat Multipla yet, though.
And as always, the keen-eye GT community, who are more often than not also happen to be car enthusiast who are ridiculously good at car spotting, have already posted guesses by simply looking at the rendered and intentionally obscure silhouettes of cars.
This will be the first free content update following the much-loved June 2026 one which added four relatively new racing prototypes that are currently competing in the top level of sports car endurance racing: the WEC and IMSA.
Gran Turismo 7 continues to be actively supported since its launch in 2022. The game also continues to hold the Gran Turismo World Series, the esports ecosystem where players compete in races online to qualify for live events hosted across the world. Round 3 of the Gran Turismo World Series will stop by in Singapore, the tournament series’ first live event in Southeast Asia.
