Maverick Games, the new team composed of folks notably known for developing the Forza Horizon series among others, are teasing something.
Currently, a livestream that began on the 23rd May has gone live on the Maverick Games YouTube channel that began as a live footage of… a Fiat Multipla, in some car park.
At the time of writing, three days later, the Multipla has been wheeled on a trailer. The socials cheekily teased that they’re showing a trailer only for it to be a literal picture of said trailer. The car, one of the quirkiest car to ever been made, is now set up within the developer’s office building.
There’s a countdown ticker seen during the livestream, counting down to June 2, 6 PM Malaysia Time (+8 GMT).
That’s the same day as the June 2026 State Of Play broadcast (depending on time zone) but not quite the exact same time.
The 24-hour livestream is still ongoing.
When Maverick Games as an entity was announced, they announced they are making an open-world racing game with the backing of Amazon Game Studios as the publisher. While the publishing deal has ended, the yet-to-be-revealed game looks set for a proper reveal soon. Hopefully it does include the Multipla.
In more recent news, Playground Games just released the latest entry to Forza Horizon, Forza Horizon 6.
