Forza Horizon 6 officially launches today (it’s been a week if you considered those who paid the premium to play early), and that means the fresh new start of the Festival Playlist, the open world racing game’s close equivalent to a fully-free battle pass.
Like past titles, each Festival Playlist in Forza Horizon 6 lasts four weeks, a full in-game seasonal cycle (the game’s in-game season changes every week) starting in the Summer. Each week, players can play through the events in the Festival Playlist to earn points and unlock the weekly reward cars.
There are two reward cars each week/in-game season, plus two more that counts the points through all four weeks. Hence, that makes a total of ten cars to earn each month/series.
New to Forza Horizon 6 is Series History Rewards, where you can get these exclusive cars via lifetime Playlist Points. So less FOMO this time, so long as you do put in the playtime.
Kicking off Series 1 of the Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist, Welcome To Japan. 10 cars are earnable through the series, headlined by the 2008 Mazda Furai. The futuristic concept car was a one-of-a-kind model, one that unfortunately ended up burned to a crisp. Its legacy lives on in video games, thankfully.
Another notable reward car is the Toyota Altezza. These are the sedans with those chromed brake lights, a popular JDM car in the West during the heights of the 2000s tuner scene. Now you can drive one in its natural habitat.
The rest of the cars are all, as you’d expect, Japanese cars. Most notably, more cars from Toyota.

Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass Drop Series 1
In addition, Forza Horizon 6 is releasing four new cars through the Car Pass paid DLC alongside the Festival Playlist Series 1.
Car Pass adds new-to-Forza-series cars each week. A total of 30 new cars will be added in Forza Horizon 6 through this paid DLC.
The first one to drop is an All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC) icon, though without the license hence the name saying JTC (likely to avoid any licensing issues as seen with Project Motor Racing recently) and the iconic livery is recreated without all the correct sponsor decals.
The first four cars to drop alongside Festival Playlist Series 1 are in order of release are:
- 1990 Nissan #12 Skyline GT-R (BNR32 GR.A) JTC
- 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera
- 1972 Datsun #269 Attacking The Clock Racing 240Z “All Carbon Hill Climb Beast”
- 2008 Honda Civic Type R (FD2)
Forza Horizon 6 is out now on Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam). It’s also coming to PS5 later this year.
