Nintendo has revealed its slate of launch games and upcoming releases coming to its new console, the Nintendo Switch 2, launching this June.

And it’s an impressive lineup with good balance between Nintendo’s own first-party efforts and new releases from third-party publishers and developers.

Here’s some of the new games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 from third-party developers and publishers, ranging from indie darlings to major AAA players.

Suffice to say, the Nintendo Switch 2 will have a strong lineup of games. While the original Switch has the reputation of being underpowered, to the point that any port of a big AAA game can be considered a miracle, the Switch 2 is getting a lot of not only 8th-gen console (PS4, Xbox One) games, but also 9th-gen (PS5, Xbox Series) games as well.

Borderlands 4 are Final Fantasy VII Intergrade current-gen only games. And the Switch 2, which Nintendo has confirmed can run at 4K 120 FPS when docked, is capable of running these games with the visual quality that’s close enough to match what a typical console game look like today.

Not only that, since Switch 2’s Joy-Con 2 can be used as a mouse, this should open the gates for console ports with mouse UI. In the showcase, Civ VII, which we note to have not-that-good controller support, is seen here played with a mouse cursor.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will be available on June 5 in the US for $449.99 (roughly RM2,000+).

For Southeast Asia, the Switch 2 will arrive at a later date between July and September and only via four countries in the region, but said four countries will be getting full online service support with Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Switch Online subscription being available for the first time.
