Capcom announced that its flagship fighting game, Street Fighter 6, is coming to Switch 2. The game will be feature-loaded just like its release on other platforms, and it will have cross-play with all other platforms for online play.
With the Switch 2, you can now hit the literal streets in search of fights (against fellow SF6 players that play on Switch 2, not literal brawls) via the Switch 2-exclusive Local Wireless Mode.

This is an offline mode where you can fight with another player without sharing a Switch 2 screen and controller. You can do also bring your SF6 Avatar (the created character used in World Tour and Battle Hub modes) for Avatar matches via Local Wireless mode, or just play a regular game with the game’s cast of 18 base roster fighters + 8 DLC fighters from 2 seasons of post-launch updates.
You still can share a Joy-Con 2 and a Switch 2 screen for a more traditional couch multiplayer session, and SF6 still supports all three control methods (six-button Classic, four-button Modern and the button-mash-friendly Dynamic). You can’t go online with half a Joy-Con, however, this is only available for local play.
But if silly gimmicks is what you want, then SF6 for Switch 2 has exclusive offline modes under the Special Match mode that uses the gyro functionalities of the Joy-Con 2 controller.
In Gyro Battle, it’s a typical one-on-one match with regular rules, but your input method is motion controls. And in Calorie Contest, you are required to do specific motions with the Joy-Cons to build up the Calorie Gauge.

Also, Capcom is releasing amiibo figures of new fighters Luke, Jamie and Kimberly, with the rest of the cast available as amiibo cards.
Street Fighter 6 on Switch is available as a normal base game as well as the new Years 1-2 Fighters Edition, which adds all Season 1 and 2 DLC fighters (including Fatal Fury guests Terry and Mai, and the yet-to-be-released Elena).
Street Fighter 6 (and Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition) will be available on Switch 2 on June 5, the launch day of the new console in the US and select regions (Southeast Asia is getting the Switch 2 later).
Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition will also be available for PS4, PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S.
