WRC 9 is coming out really soon. The official game for the World Rally Championship is showcasing some rally legends, from the iconic 1973 Alpine A110 to the 2016 Volkswagen Polo WRC.

WRC 9 will feature 15 cars that are under the legendary car label, with one yet to be revealed.

While most of them are notable for winning the manufacturers’s world titles, three cars from the list are more miscellaneous entries rather than legendary. And they are in the trailer in name only near the end.

The 2019 Citroen C3 WRC is the last car the for the French marque as a manufacturer in the championship, finishing third that year. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS RGT (997) is a cool sports car that somehow can be raced in a rally, a tricky one given it’s not built for such purposes.

Lastly, there’s the Proton Iriz R5. It’s the Malaysian car is homologated to comply to R5 specifications used in the WRC2 category. No WRC2 team elected to use the car this year, so it stays in this list like last year.

The full list (bar one unannounced) legendary cars is as follows:

  • Lancia Stratos
  • Lancia Fulvia HF
  • VW Polo WRC 2016
  • Lancia 037
  • Porsche 911 GT3 RS RGT (997)
  • Ford Escort MkII 1800
  • Alpine A110 1973
  • Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione
  • Citroën Xsara WRC 2005
  • Ford Focus 2007
  • Toyota Corolla 1999
  • Audi Quattro A2 1984
  • Citroen C3 WRC 2019
  • Proton Iriz R5

Alongside these, WRC 9 includes the full roster of the WRC, WRC2, WRC3 and WRC Junior cars and teams. New to the game are three new rally stages: Japan, New Zealand and Kenya.

WRC 9 launches on September 3 for PC (Epic Games Store), and September 8 in North America for consoles. It will also be coming to next-gen consoles too.
