New Forza Motorsport Releasing This October

The new Forza Motorsport game, the eighth game in the Forza Motorsport series, simply called Forza Motorsport, now has a release date.

Revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023, developer Turn 10’s latest game will be out in the tenth of the tenth month of this year. An inspired choice of release date.

The new trailer gives a quick look at the game’s UI and presentation, featuring the two cover cars: the 2023 No.01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R LMdH race car and 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, the EV version of the latest C8 Corvette. Both marques are under the General Motors umbrella.

The accompanying blog post also reveals the new Builders Cup Career Mode, where you race the AI with the cars you tune and build using performance upgrades.

Forza Motorsport will also include Feature Multiplayer events with a race weekend structure. Online races can now have tyre and fuel strategy be part of the race. There are also new driver and safety ratings to keep online racing “safe” (from no-good rammers, which has plagued Forza online lobbies for some time). Free Play, where you can set your own lobbies to race with friends, will also be available.

As for cars and tracks, this info drop has revealed more as part of the 500+ cars and 20 tracks available at launch.

Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans, or Le Mans, is the most notable to be confirmed of the bunch. It should be an obvious pick, but it would be even weirder not to see Le Mans in Forza after the many, many Xbox banners visible during the latest running of the 24 Hours Of Le Mans, which took place this past weekend.
