Capcom has announced what’s coming to the next free content update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, the expansion for Monster Hunter: Rise.
Free Title Update 4, or Ver.14, will be adding Velkhana as a new monster. This is the new monster that debuted in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the previous mainline Monster Hunter game’s expansion. Velkhana can be hunted down once reached you reached MR 10.
Joining the Iceborn Wyrvern is another dragon, Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax. This version of Valstrax is fast and explosive. To hunt this down, you need to have MR 160.
Both new monsters will drop material to craft new weapons, armour and skills.
New Anomaly Quests are added with this update of MH Rise Sunbreak: A8★ Anomaly Quests. As expected, this is for the hardcore players to truly test their might, it requires you to reach Anomaly Research Level 211 or higher.
On that note, the level cap for Anomaly Investigations continue to rise, this time it’s capped at Level 220.
New event quests are also added, which can be found by the Courier under “Add-On Content”.
Alongside the free update are paid cosmetics DLC which includes the following items:
- “Lance Gunn” Hunter layered armor set
- “Ran Page” Hunter layered armor set
- “Kit T.” Palico layered armor set
- “Pup R.” Palamute layered armor set
- “Minoto” Hunter layered armor set
Capcom also teased that the next update, Ver.15, is set to arrive in April.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Free Title Update 4 will be available on February 7 for PC (Steam) and Switch. Monster Hunter: Rise is also available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but not the Sunbreaker expansion. That will be coming soon sometime this Spring (Q2).
