After Microsoft announced that it is acquiring Zenimax (which includes the whole of Bethesda), this is something we expected to see coming.
Doom Eternal will join the Xbox Game Pass lineup. It will arrive on consoles on October 1, and for PC later this year.
Plenty of Bethesda games are available on Game Pass (including Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 76). But with the recent acquisition, expect to see them to be staying in the rotation even longer than before. Xbox is committing to bring more Bethesda titles to Xbox Game Pass for console and PC, which this is the first of many.
Doom Eternal will also be getting its first of two expansions. Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part One launches on October 20.
