Doom Eternal’s The Ancient Gods, Part One DLC Is Also A Standalone Game

Doom Eternal is getting story DLC as part of the Year One Pass. The first part- The Ancient Gods, Part One – will be coming out this October.

Interestingly, it’s not just a DLC for existing Doom Eternal players. It’s a standalone DLC. So you can buy this separately from the base game.

“It’s important as we want the DLC to reach as many people as possible,” said executive producer Marty Stratton in an interview with PCGamesN. ” In fact, you don’t even need to own Doom Eternal to buy the DLC and play it.”

Game director Hugo Martin considers The Ancient Gods to be “like a two-part film” rather than a TV show when it comes to the DLC size. So it should be an expansive expansion for this year’s FPS sequel.

Doom Eternal The Ancient Gods, Part One will be available on October 20 for the PS4, PC, Xbox One and Stadia.
