Deathloop Game Update 3 Adds Photo Mode, More Accessibility Options, AMD FSR 2.0 Support

A new game update for Deathloop, Arkane’s time-looping FPS has arrived and it adds a photo mode as well as more accessibility options.

Photo mode is only accessible in single-player mode (turn off online invasions). On PC, you can press P to activate it.

On PS5, you need to go to Options, Controls, the Controller tab, and then turn Photo Mode Quick Access to Yes. Interestingly, you access the photo mode by double-tapping the Create button (what used to be Share, the button left to the touchpad).

While you can only activate it in single-player mode, you can however swap between Colt and Julianna for your shots, as well as use any of the different skins for either of the two (no need for unlocks) and pose them with all the guns available in the game, including the different variants and skins.

Photo mode is one of the most community-requested features. And it’s good timing too as Deathloop is also adding AMD FSR 2.0 support with this update so you can show off the locales of Blackreef in higher fidelity if you’re playing on PC.

Alongside photo mode, Deathloop is also getting a bunch more accessibility features. This includes the following:

  • Customisable combat settings (mostly single-player only)
    • increase/decrease combat difficulty
    • adjust the number of Reprises (respawns before loop-resetting death)
    • game speed adjustments
  • New HUD and subtitles options
  • Menus navigatable with D-Pad

Deathloop uses the now-ubiquitous cursor-style menu designed for controllers and mouse use. However, the menu layouts themselves still feel like you could have just scrolled them with the D-Pad. Thankfully, that’s been added.

The full patch notes, which list in full detail all the accessibility options and all the features in photo mode, can be found here.

Deathloop is out now on PS5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games store). You can find our review of the game here.
