Watch Dogs: Legion Releases This October

Watch Dogs: Legion was supposed to release back in March before it got delayed. At the recent Ubisoft Forward livestream event, we now have a new release date.

Alongside that is a new gameplay trailer that breaks down the nitty-gritty of how the open-world game works. Legion retains the hackers versus the oppressive government themes the series is known for.

But the new twist that any NPC on the streets of London can be recruited and be a playable character. These characters range from professional hitmen to a sweet old granny, and anything in between.

Each of the different archetype has different skillsets that will change how you approach a mission. Recruit a construction worker and they can use a nail gun as a makeshift gun and ride on a construction drone. Recruit a member of the private army enforcing London and they can get access to restricted areas by just walking through it.

Take a look at the new gameplay trailer below:

The game is also confirmed to be coming to next-gen consoles. For Xbox, it supports Smart Delivery (buy one, get it on Xbox One and Xbox Series X).

Watch Dogs: Legion will now be coming out on October 29 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store, Uplay), Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Stadia.
