2K and Gearbox Software have announced that its upcoming looter-shooter Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will support cross-play. Unlike when Borderlands 3 got its cross-play support, Wonderlands’ cross-play is across Xbox, PC and PlayStation.
That means players on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S can play together. This is done through Gearbox’s Shift Matchmaking service. The game will prompt you should you want to opt into cross-play when you first boot it up and you will need to set a Crossplay Display Name.
In addition, Borderlands 3 will also be getting full cross-play, PS4 and PS5 players can now play together with everyone else.
Looks like whatever that was halting cross-play support to be extended to PlayStation consoles have now been resolved.
For those looking for local co-op, just like in Borderlands 3, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will support split-screen multiplayer on consoles. PS4 and Xbox One version supports two players, while PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players can have a full party of four players on one screen. You can have the screen split vertically or horizontally.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be out on March 25 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
