Nintendo announced that it has sold 10 million copies of its latest game, The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, in just the first three days of launch.
The much anticipated new entry to the Zelda series, and the direct follow-up to Breath Of The Wild, has been received incredibly well by critics and fans, and the numbers have proved it.
This is already half the sales of last year’s hit game, Elden Ring, which hit 20 million sales as of February 2023.
Tears Of The Kingdom builds upon the systemic gameplay design seen in Breath Of The Wild, and expands further by allowing players to create and combine objects into mechanical contraptions. This alone has made the game a sandbox of engineering and destruction. Enough to flood the timeline with not of the game’s story discussion or nitpicks, but shares of people making robots, tanks, and other instruments of war. For fun.
The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom is out now on Nintendo Switch.
