A new free update for Dragon’s Dogma 2, Title Update 3.2, is now live. The update, which supposed to launch in late August, finally adds two additional save slots. So now you can have three different Arisen, or in other words, three different playthroughs, without having to delete the current save.
In addition, with each save slot, you have three different save data: an Autosave, an Interim Save and a Last Inn Rest Save. Loading a Last In Rest Save won’t delete any Autosave or Interim Save.
The other big ticket item with Title Update 3.2 is performance improvements. Dragon’s Dogma 2 didn’t have a locked framerate on console, and it can range between 50-60 FPS on “prioritise performance” setting rendering at a peculiar resolution of 1728p, or 30-40 FPS on “prioritise graphics” rendering at 4K (2160p).
With Title Update 3.2, Dragon’s Dogma 2 can now hit 60 FPS on “prioritise performance” making use of AMD’s FSR upscaler and 30 FPS, more or less, on “prioritise graphics,” both rendering at full 2160p. The lesser-powered Xbox Series S hits a locked 45 FPS on “prioritise graphics” and while the console is capped at outputting 1440p resolution, the game is rendering at 2160p. Meanwhile the PS5 Pro can hit 60 FPS and 45 FPS (more or less, with framerate unlocked) making use of PSSR upscaling tech.
In addition, the PC system requirements for Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been revised as well.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an open world full of intentionally designed friction, but having performance issues is one that should not be it. But it’s good to see Capcom is chipping at this issue still, two years since launch, though of course it’s motivated by the upcoming release of the new expansion, Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and its upcoming Switch 2 release.
No, you’re not getting a weird sense of deja vu, the original Dragon’s Dogma also received an expansion called Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. After all, this is coming from a game where the title screen for the longest time only says Dragon’s Dogma, without the number. It’s a little weird in a fun and welcomed way.
Title Update 3.2 for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is now live. The game is out now on PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S, and is coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will launch on October 9 for the PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S and will be included in the Switch 2 release of Dragon’s Dogma 2.
