The ninth edition of The Game Awards is expected to be held on December 12 this year. Illustrious show producer of the games industry Geoff Keighly has announced the date via Twitter:
The Game Awards is the biggest consumer-facing awards show for the games industry, with a panel of juries made up of media sites across the world (as well as some portion of fan voting).
Most of the viewers (a whopping 85 million for last year’s show) are also tuning in for the exciting “world premier” game reveals and announcements.
In 2021, co-op-only platformer It Takes Two won Game Of The Year.
