Samurai Shodown’s Last DLC Character For Season Pass 2 Is Warden From For Honor

Samurai Shodown has revealed the final DLC character for Season Pass 2. The fighting game reboot previously added three fan-favourites: Mina Majikina, Sogetsu Kazama and Iroha. And one mystery character.

At the New Game Plus Expo livestream, SNK revealed that the final character is a guest character. It’s Warden from For Honor.

Ubisoft sort-of fighting game gets the guest character treatment, so it’s now a proper fighting game now.

“We are very excited and proud to see our knight, the Warden, join SNK’s Samurai Shodown as a DLC character,” says Nicolas Bombray, Game Director of Ubisoft’s For Honor. “It’s an honor to be part of such a renown franchise that has existed for decades.

This is the male Warden (voiced by the Japanese voice actor that played him in For Honor), not the female one unfortunately.

But still, his meaty sword slashes and fast shoulder bashes should be familiar to anyone that played Ubisoft’s medieval combat game. And the limited moveset of For Honor should fit well into Samsho’s hard-hitting, zoning-focused, and less combo-oriented gameplay.

Take a look at the trailer:

Warden will arrive to Samurai Shodown on June 24. The game is out now on PS4, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Stadia.
