Riot Games Reveal A Fighting Game, A Tactical Shooter And One Other Multiplayer Game In The Works

It took them around 10 years, but Riot Games is finally delivering the “s” in Riot Games. The League Of Legends developers has revealed a few projects they have been working on. And no, they are not just MOBAs.

That fighting game the Cannon brothers of Rising Thunder fame are working on? We got a small look at what is referred to as Project L. As Tom Cannon revealed at EVO 2019, it’s still early on, but it is a League Of Legends fighting game.

The one other game is called Project F. From the teases, it has a top-down camera, but the official word is it’s a project “that explores the possibilities of traversing the world of Runeterra with your friends”. So a multiplayer game maybe. An MMO? Who knows at this point.

While these two are based on League Of Legends, Project A seems to be a new IP. It’s a character-based tactical FPS, a mix of CS:GO and Overwatch. Project A promises anti-cheat measures from day-1 and are focusing on the netcode to ensure smooth play (and those shots truly register). Project A seems to be the furthest in development of the three, with more details to appear sometime next year.

The 10th Anniversary Edition of Riot Pls also reveals other announcements. This includes a version of League for consoles and mobile called League Of Legends Wild Rift, League Of Legends Esports Manager featuring teams from the LPL, a card game Legends Of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics coming to mobile and new League champion Senna.
