Games that you do relatively mundane things can sometimes be just what you want. And if the idea of unpacking boxes of stuff and place the stuff in a room is something you want, there’s a game for you.
Unpacking is what the name says. It’s technically a puzzler where you need to place all the items out of the box and into the room (like “Item Tetris”), but however, you do it is totally up to you. No timer. No meters or scores. It’s just you unpacking.
You can also play it as a home decorator game, placing items as neatly and nice as possible so you can snap pictures using photo mode.
(Whether you can put the items around the house in the most chaotic and cursed way possible is yet to be known)
IGN Expo/Summer Of Gaming showcased a new trailer for Unpacking, showing you the many boxes you will be unpacking and the different rooms you will be doing it in.
No release date for Unpacking just yet, but it’s coming to PC via Steam and Humble Store, as well as on Nintendo Switch.
