At Quakecon 2019, Bethesda announced that Doom, Doom II and Doom 3 are all being released on PS4, Xbox One and Switch. It was something to be excited about… until everyone discovered that you need a Bethesda.net account to play it. A mandatory online login for new re-release of a mostly single-player experience.
We’ve deployed a patch for the re-releases of DOOM and DOOM II, which now adds an option to skip the Bethesda net login requirement and removes the disconnect notification during gameplay. pic.twitter.com/KtlbRvmRyJ

Good thing is, Bethesda appealed to the backlash and has now since removed the mandatory login. If you don’t have an account, or just not be bothered to log into one, there is nothing holding you back from playing the classic games that brought FPS to the limelight.
Doom and Doom II are also recently released on iOS and Android.
