Ragnarok Online (RO) isn’t just happy to be the popular MMORPG in Southeast Asia. Gravity and Electronics Extreme’s development team Extreme Studio are making a new game based on RO, but as a battle royale. Yup.
Titled Ragnarok Battle Academy (ROBA), a party of up to four players drop down the battleground. From there, you battle monsters, level up, and collect better equipment while taking out other competing players. Last man/team standing wins.
It’s seeing an RPG turned into a battle royale. But sounds like the two would fit nicely. PVP is a thing in most MMOs, including RO.
ROBA is 80% complete and currently in internal testing phase. Expect to see this dropping sometime soon in Thailand and the rest of Southeast Asia.
