Pragmata Launching One Week Earlier

Capcom has announced another change in release date for Pragmata, but it’s not a delay. More of a reverse-delay.

At the Capcom Spotlight March 2026 showcase, it was announced that Pragmata will launch on April 17. This is one week earlier from the previous launch date, April 24.

While not explained specifically why, we can take a good guess. It’s to avoid another big game release of the same week: Saros. The PS5 exclusive was delayed into the same week of Pragmata’s release date, and looks like Capcom blinked and moved their new IP’s date.

Last year, we saw another game launching early in the year having to pull a reverse delay. And it was Sega moving Like A Dragon Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii away from the launch week of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds. Funny how Capcom has been on both ends of the reverse-delay-to-avoid-big-game-release-clash situation.

Pragmata is a new third-person shooter and adventure where a guy in a mecha-like suit and an android girl team up to fight against AI robots while finding their way out of the lunar research station they’re stuck in. It has a cool hacking feature that gives a different flavour to the stop-and-shoot over-the-shoulder shooter, a hack-and-shoot, if you will. A demo is now available.

Pragmata launches on April 17 for the PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
