Pixelshire Is Like Farming Sim Stardew Valley But With More Animal Crossing

Pixelshire is an upcoming game from developer Kappa Bits and publisher Merge Games. It’s a sandbox RPG with pixel art which screams Stardew Valley at first glance.

But Pixelshire is doing more than just farming (and fishing). You can farm, but the world of Arcadia also lets you terraform lands and build a town. So it has a little bit of Animal Crossing gameplay as well.

As you continue to develop your farm and town, more citizens will join in and live there. And you get to build their homes.

Outside of that, Pixelshire lets you roam around a whole continent where you can travel, fight and encounter procedurally generated islands where you can also do some mining.

And yes, you can make friends and/or romance the townfolks. And also bring them along in your adventures outside of town as well, each with their own unique skill.

Pixelshire will be released on Steam Early Access later this year. However, if you need to see if it lives up to be a Stardew Valley-like or an Animal Crossing-like, you can try out the demo available now, ahead of Steam Next Fest.
