People Herding Puzzler Humanity Releasing This May, Day-1 Release On PS Plus Game Catalog

Humanity, the fascinating new puzzler from Enhance (Tetris Effect), gets a release date.

It’s coming out soon and for those who have PS Plus Extra, you can play it day-1 at launch via the PS Plus Game Catalog.

Humanity tasks you as a shepard dog to guide this crowd of people to an exit. It’s like Lemmings, for those familiar with that game, where you will have to place instructions and directions to steer the crowd to the right path. And that right path may involve some jumping, crate pushing, climbing and falling down. Some may just fall down into the abyss but it’s fine, as long as you get enough people from the endless conga line to the exit you’re good.

If you’re into quirky, bizarre games that actually make sense as video games and only as video games, strap right in for this.

Humanity joins an ever-growing club of indies getting a day-1 release via PS Plus Game Catalog, which Tchia recently joined.

PS Plus Game Catalog is sort-of like the equivalent of Xbox Game Pass. It’s a back catalog of games available for PS Plus Extra or higher subscribers to download and play. PlayStation is putting its first-party releases day-1 at launch like Xbox is doing, but at least indies are getting some good backing with such deals.

Humanity releases on PS4, PS5 and PC (Steam) on May 16. The game offers optional VR support.
