Capcom’s last big game of 2026, the first game they announced to be released in 2026, finally has a release date. Onimusha: Way Of The Sword, revealed during the June 2026 State Of Play broadcast, will be out on the busy end of this September.
In addition, a demo is now available on all platforms.
Onimusha is another series of games that went dormant after the PS2 generation (6th-gen) that’s now back in action. In this entry, players take on the role of Miyamoto Musashi as he fights against the demon horde that’s overtaken Edo-period Kyoto.
The fourth week of September 2026 is looking stacked with video game releases just from the announcements at this State Of Play broadcast, with more game showcases including Summer Game Fest to air throughout the month.
Onimusha: Way Of The Sword releases on September 25 for the PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S.
