New Gameplay Deep Dive For Indiana Jones And The Great Circle Shows It’s More An Immersive Sim Than An Uncharted Clone

Bethesda has released a deep dive video, breaking down the gameplay for MachineGames’s upcoming game, Indiana Jones And The Great Circle.

This 14-minute video features plenty of different gameplay elements in this first-person adventure. From stealth to melee combat. And also some interesting mechanics including wearing disguises and hiding bodies. The game also has some open-ended areas for exploring.

If you are not in the know, Indiana Jones And The Great Circle is played mostly in the first-person with the occasional cut to third-person view. Indy may have inspired action-adventure game series like Tomb Raider and Uncharted, but it plays nothing like a typical AAA blockbuster action-adventure game. It has more in common with Hitman and Deus Ex and to some extent, Wolfenstein.

The footage seen here has elements of what we and members of the press that attended the hands-off preview.

Indiana Jones And The Great Circle launches on Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9, and coming to PS5 later in 2025.
