Rayman Legends Retold Announced

Rayman fans won’t be as sad as the last time their hero appeared on screen, as Ubisoft announced Rayman Legends Retold at the June 2026 State Of Play showcast.

This is a new “reimagining” of the original Rayman Legends, a really good, and good-looking, 2D platformer first released in 2013.

Rayman Legends Retold is moving away from the charming 2D visuals to a just as charming 3D one. A new story (hence, Retold) with fully voiced cinematics will be inlcuded.

In Rayman Legends Retold, the adventure revolves titular hero with the floating hands and feet Rayman alongside Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murphy as they restore peace to the Glade Of Dreams.

Rayman Legends Retold can be played solo or up to four players in couch co-op. All five realms from the original will return alongside a new sixth realm. The Glade Of Dreams itself have been reimagined with new character encounters and surprises. And there’s four new musical stages.

Rayman Legends Retold’s development is led by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan, with support from Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Berlin, Ubisoft Bordeaux, Ubisoft Paris, Ubisoft Düsseldorf, and Ubisoft Shanghai. Pastagames also contributed in the development.

Ubisoft has two remakes to be released this year, with the other being Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

Rayman Legends Retold will be out on October 1 for the PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect), Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
